FARM STORY
From Northeast Highlands
Our Star Anise grows naturally in the misty, high-altitude mountains of Northeast Vietnam.
These areas are far from industrial zones, ensuring the trees grow in an environment free from chemical pollutants. The unique soil composition of this region, combined with the cool mountain air, gives the spice its deep color and high oil content.
Grown by Local Hands
Star anise and cinnamon are more than just crops; they are the livelihood of the local farmers. In this area, each family typically manages just a few hectares of land. It is their most precious asset, alongside their livestock - the secondary source of income.
Each plant is carefully nurtured with natural rainwater, forest humus, and organic fertilizers. They collect manure from their buffaloes and pigs, then process it through microbiological fermentation. They also practice intercropping and crop rotation to protect the soil and increase biodiversity.
Every package of organic star anise that reaches an international customer, it's not just a spice to warm up a dish, but also the warmth of Vietnam's mountains and forests, and a source of hope for ethnic minority families in the highlands.
