FARM STORY
From North Central Vietnam
Our turmeric grows in a limestone valley at the foot of the Truong Son Mountains, nearly 1,000 meters above sea level. Surrounded by natural forests, the growing area is concentrated, flat, and vast, completely unaffected by industrial pollution.
The secret to our powerful turmeric is weather. The days are burning hot, but the nights are freezing with cold mist and frost. To survive, the plants accumulate nutrients and essential oils well, creating a deep, naturally spicy aroma and a stable characteristic flavor between seasons.
Empowering the Van Kieu Community
We partner with 116 farming households, including 68 households belonging to the Van Kieu ethnic minority. Since the entire community uses natural river and stream water for their daily lives, they absolutely don’t use chemical pesticides.
In organic farming, people use well-rotted manure combined with biological preparations, natural fish from streams, and beans to create a source of organic nutrients for crops.
They also rotate crops with peanuts, beans, sesame, etc. It helps improve soil fertility, reduce pests and diseases, and maintain consistent flavor quality over multiple growing seasons.
