Highlights:

ORGANIC FOREST CINNAMON

THE ORIGIN

Regional map of North Vietnam highlighting key organic cinnamon sourcing areas

From Mountainous Regions

Our Cinnamon originated from the mountainous region of Northeast Vietnam, at an elevation of 800–1,000 meters above sea level.

Located far from industrial zones, the trees grow in an environment that ensures high purity and safety from chemical pollutants.

A Living Ecosystem

Our cinnamon grows within a biodiverse canopy alongside star anise, pine, bananas and other timber. This rich ecosystem maintains a healthy microbial balance in the soil.

Exceptionally, the forest floor is covered with many wild ferns. They act as a biological filter by absorbing and accumulating heavy metals from the soil.

  • Mass harvested cassia cinnamon bark from trees on barren hills, showing a monoculture landscape without forest biodiversity

    Cinnamon in other Regions

Mass clearing turns hills into dry, "bald" terrain, stripping the soil of its nutrients and microbial life.

Result: Land and water are susceptible to pollution. Cinnamon has risk of heavy metal contamination (e.g., Lead > 2 ppm).

    Our Cinnamon Forests

Our cinnamon grows within a protected forest, maintaining a rich microbial balance and healthy soil.

Result: Our cinnamon consistently has low heavy metal levels (< 1 ppm) and a guaranteed clean profile.

THE CULTIVATION

Local ethnic minority farmers in North Vietnam, the primary growers of organic cassia cinnamon, in traditional attire within their village

Farmer's Story

Our Organic Cinnamon is grown under smallholder organic farming by 6 ethnic groups - Tay, Nung, Mong, Dao, Kinh, Hoa.

Most families manage just a few hectares for cultivation.

Since the industrial zones are located in other provinces, they rely entirely on agriculture and livestock.

Their main income depends almost on the cinnamon & star anise harvest each year. This money is used to support a three-generation family.

Farming Practices

The cultivation follows a sustainable model.

  • Natural Cultivation: Trees grow naturally without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Farmers only mow grass. The natural trees are not allowed to cut down to preserve the ecosystem.

  • Selective Harvest: Only mature trees (10 years old) are harvested. Harvesting is done entirely by hand using traditional knives and hoes, strictly avoiding chainsaws.

  • Sustainable Cycle: From the tree stumps, small shoots sprout again, continuing the new life cycle.
